I saw the "Snowflake" today.

I saw my 3rd baby today for the very first time today. Even though (s)he looks like a little jellybean with a heartbeat, it was beautiful and exciting all the same. Brian came with me, as he did for both the girls' official "film debut." He's such a good Daddy. The official due date is December 29. That makes me exactly 8 weeks today. Because I have to have another c-section, they'll take the baby early, right before Christmas. I think it's an amazing time to have a little baby. Especially when its a time to remember that Jesus was a little baby once. No one expected Him to come like He did, but he came to save the world anyway. And "Snowflake" is kinda the same way. No one, least of all me, expected this arrival. But, God knows what He is doing. I just have to remember that. I know snowflake is a silly name. It hardly ever snows at Christmas in Houston. But, maybe it will this year, who knows!? I have come to expect the unexpected!

The Snowflake... has a Candy cane?

Today was the exciting 20-week appointment for Brian and I. We went in knowing we'd have an ultrasound and hopefully find out the sex of our newest baby. And to be honest, this ultrasound was different than others in so many ways. As we got into the ultrasound room, I became nervous about the health of our baby. I guess after seeing so many people have difficulty getting pregnant and having healthy children, I sometimes wonder if I am pushing my luck and that soon the luck will run out. (There was an actual point, about 5 minutes into the ultrasound that I was convinced our child had developed no legs. Yes, thanks R.I. you're rubbing off on me!) But then, the rational part of me realizes these are God's blessings in my life, and I couldn't do anything GOOD enough to actually EVER deserve them, so I am just going to receive these little blessings! Long time, no blog...

Seems like the more things happen in your life, the less time you have to blog, even when you love to write. So I have about two seconds to tell you what's up in my life. Ella turned 3 and had a fun DORA/BUILD A BEAR birthday party. (Oh yeah, I still need to write thank-yous!) I think she, her cousins and friend from daycare had a lot of fun. But honestly I could have saved all that Bear money and bought $50 in tokens on the carousel and I think they would have had just as much fun. "The Battle of the Poo" continues as Ella has successfully #2'd in the potty about 4 times, but still doesn't like it and has to be practically forced to sit on a toilet for nearly hourS at a time (that's right, more than 1 hour) before something "comes out." Brian had a birthday 3 days after Ella's. He battled the stomach flu last week -- so we went out to Outback 1 day after where I ran into my old HS drama teacher who I haven't seen in about 10 years. Amazing!
